Businesses and organisations throughout the Midlands are being invited to join a powerful new group, Team Midlands.

The Midlands Engine has launched the initiative to help build momentum and unity behind the region’s growth ambitions and to help drive inward investment.

At this stage, the partnership is seeking expression of interest from companies and organisations who all share a passion for making the Midlands a thriving and vibrant economy. The simple online form provides interested parties the opportunity to shape the “deal”.

Once the “ask” and the “offer” have been defined, the Midlands Engine Partnership will launch the full Team Midlands programme.

This will allow organisations to join forces to bang the drum loudly to jointly promote projects and initiatives in the Midlands that showcase growth.

Midlands Engine Chairman Sir John Peace said:

We want to build advocacy so that the Midlands economy is greater than the sum of its parts. We want to show that the Midlands is connected and energised. We want to champion some of the innovative work that is going on to improve connectivity, drive up skills and deliver job opportunities.

So, if you believe in the spirit of collaborative working and are willing to commit to joint activity around areas such as communications, events and promotions, we want to hear from you.

If you would like to get involved and find out more information, then go to the Midlands Engine Get Involved page and register your interest.

This new initiative is the main call to action of a big communications campaign to drive awareness and engagement that is running until the end of March.
