The deadline is looming for Midlands businesses to take part in a research project which will help position the region on the global stage in the field of advanced ceramics.

A survey from the Midlands Industrial Ceramics Group has been launched to help gather information from business which will shape plans for the future.

The survey will assess the business development, innovation and product commercialisation needs of organisations of all sizes in the region.

According to the MICG, placing the region at the heart of the international advanced ceramics sector will ultimately contribute towards growth of 4,200 jobs in the region by 2030.

Membership of the MICG is made up of blue-chip companies and SMEs including Rolls-Royce, JCB, Morgan Advanced Materials and Lucideon – as well as the universities of Birmingham, Leicester and Loughborough.

The deadline for participants is 25 September and the survey can be accessed here.

More details about the MICG can be found here.
