Minister for Science, Research and Innovation speaking yesterday [18 May] on the occasion of the launch of the Midlands Investment Portfolio by Midlands Engine partners: “This is our first chance to really reveal the power of regional clusters in the UK and the investable propositions that are driving our Innovation Nation.” As Minister Freeman goes on to say, the Portfolio is “fundamental to transforming the UK economy and playing its part in the broader Innovation Nation that we’re driving from London. It’s also fundamental to our global reputation as an investment powerhouse in science research and innovation.”
