Michelin UK appoints new factory manager

Michelin has appointed a new factory manager to lead its Stoke-on-Trent plant.

Chrissy Peloquin has moved into the leadership position at the Campbell Road facility from Michelin’s factory in Greenville, South Carolina.

She joined Michelin in the US in 2020, taking on industrial engineering management and operational excellence leadership roles. Chrissy then headed up a team of 250 people as a workshop manager in Greenville’s car tyre plant.

Chrissy said: “I’m really excited both to be in the UK, and specifically in Stoke-on-Trent.

“In 2027, we will have achieved 100 years of manufacturing at the factory, and it’s an honour to lead a plant with such a rich history.

“Most importantly, I’m also extremely pleased to be able to play my part in its future.

Michelin established its factory in Stoke-on-Trent in 1927.

The plant carries out the retreading of truck tyres, a process that extends the life of a tyre and significantly reduces the raw materials required, offering significant sustainability and cost benefits for users.

“Retreading fits perfectly with our focus on the 3Ps: people, profit and planet.

“More than 85 per cent of the worn-out tyre is reused in a retread, significantly reducing the environmental impact of mobility and giving the cost savings to the customer.

“Premium quality truck tyres like Michelin’s can also be retreaded more than once, further extending the life of the tyre.”

As well as her role as factory manager, Chrissy will become part of the leadership team of Michelin UK.
