Read moreDeveloped by the West Midlands Combined Authority as part of the Mental Health and Productivity Pilot and as an immediate response to the pandemic, Thrive at Home launched on April 2nd and has been designed as a recommended resource for employers and employees to help with the challenges of remote working.
Modelled on the existing programme of Thrive at Work, which enables employers to achieve the Thriving at Work standards and commitment, Thrive at Home is based on the same principles but within the context of working from home. It provides toolkit-styled resources to look after mental health, musculoskeletal health and lifestyles, as well as dealing with the impact of changed working and communications styles and changes to finance, home situations and caring responsibilities.
The toolkit has two sections: one for employers looking after teams who are working from home and another for employees themselves. Both offer advice and links to recommended resources to support mental health and wellbeing for people adapting to working from home and the additional challenges that brings.
Thrive at Home sits alongside other resources such as Every Mind Matters from Public Health England and Mental Health at Work from Mind charity that provide a mix of information, advice and hands-on tools to cope with anxiety and stress linked to COVID-19 now, as well as for the longer term.
