Discussions ranged from regional growth with Shadow Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Lisa Nandy MP, and plans for a Midlands rail hub with Shadow Transport Secretary, Louise Haigh MP, to the exceptional opportunities set out in the Midlands Investment Portfolio with Shadow International Trade Secretary, Nick Thomas-Symonds MP.
We were also delighted to welcome to our partnership stand Shadow Secretary for International Development, Preet Kaur Gill MP, Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, Taiwo Owatemi MP, Shadow Levelling Up Minister, Alex Norris MP, Opposition Deputy Chief Whip, Lillian Greenwood MP – and Chair of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Darren Jones MP
The conference also marked an opportunity to catch up with regional partners and parliamentarians, including Midlands Engine APPG members Lord Coaker and Steve McCabe MP, and recently elected member for Birmingham Erdington, Paulette Hamilton MP.
