Recognising inspirational women in the Midlands

Nominations are now open for inspiring women aged 35 and under from across our region to enter the Women of the Future Awards sponsored by Aviva.

The Women of the Future Awards provide a platform for the remarkable female talent in the UK and recognise the inspirational stars of tomorrow across diverse sectors.

The awards are not simply a night of recognition but a community and a programme of initiatives that offer the opportunity for candidates to meet like-minded women and build business contacts.

Nominations are open to all women aged 35 or under from across the UK and awards are presented in the following categories:

  • Arts & Culture
  • Business
  • Entrepreneur
  • Community Spirit
  • MBA Star
  • Media
  • Professions
  • Real Estate, Infrastructure & Construction
  • Science
  • Sport
  • Technology & Digital

Midlands Engine Chairman Sir John Peace will join the judging panel for the awards, chaired by Baroness Gabrielle Bertin.

In addition to the main awards, nominations are also sought for three special awards:

  • Women of the Future Corporate Award (open to an organisation)
  • Women of the Future Mentor Award (open to men and women of any age)
  • Women of the Future Young Star Award (open to 16 to 21-year-old women on 31 December 2021)

Founder Pinky Lilani CBE DL said of the awards:

We created the Women of the Future Awards in 2006 and it has become an incredibly powerful and exciting venture.

Young women are shaping the future of Britain with immense energy dedication and flair. These awards recognise the sparkling younger generation of talent in Britain today.

Nominations close 3 September 2021 with the winners announced 10 November at a special award ceremony at the London Hilton Hotel.
